On October 2, 2023, Dr. Shogan had the opportunity to climb into the dome of the Rotunda at National Archives in Washington, DC (Archives I). “It’s not for the faint of heart!” she said. Pictured with Dr. Shogan is Facility Manager James Garvin.
Dr. Shogan viewed the Rotunda from the oculus at the top of the domed ceiling.
On October 4, 2023, Dr. Shogan visited with the Research Services staff in the National Archives at College Park, MD (Archives II) research room. Dr. Shogan also visited with Archivists Sarah Bseirani and Jessica Guerrero in the Still Picture Branch, where she enjoyed looking into the light cabinets used to share government posters.
